I have a passion for the North East and Newcastle region and a passion for wedding photography. That feeds into my style which revolves around natural, timeless storytelling. My style strives for the perfect blend of composition, creativity and mood to make your images as timeless as the day itself.
I work closely with all my couples, preparing and planning so that when the day comes it all flows beautifully and you can experience the wedding of your dreams, knowing that your photography is taken care of.
Why Choose Me As Your North East Wedding Photographer?
Choosing a wedding photographer isn’t easy, but if you’re looking for someone who will capture your day without making you pose; someone who will deliver beautiful and creative images; someone who is dependable, friendly, unique, and inventive; then you’re in the right place.
I offer stylish yet fun-loving wedding photography that lets you enjoy the romance, love and joy of your day without worrying about the pictures.
As a documentary-style wedding photographer much of my photography methodology is unposed. This means you can enjoy your wedding day with your guests, having fun, sharing a laugh, and being with the people you love. I’ll photograph around you. You’ll probably not even know I’m there most of the time. Which makes for some great photos I've always believed the photos we cherish the most are those which capture the spontaneous moment: a look of love, a genuine laugh, the spark of life being lived to its fullest.
My wedding photography prices for Newcastle and the North East range from £595 for micro weddings to £1795 for the full day. You can check out my invest page for more details on these packages.

Northumberland Wedding Photography Venues - Spotlight
My love for Northumberland is no secret, and trying to choose a selection of wedding venues to showcase is almost impossible. I mean, how do you pick? Northumberland has so many hidden wedding photography gems like Le Petit Chateau, or Cuddystone Hall on the Scottish Border; historical castles like Alnwick Castle, or Bamburgh Castle; country houses like Shotton Grange; and rural venues like Vallum Farm and Halton Grove.
Here are four very different wedding venues I’ve photographed at that I think are particularly special:
Healey Barn
Healey Barn is always fun. The varied indoor spaces give a variety of looks. Outdoors there is woodland, an elegant courtyard, and fields that drop away for perfect sunset portraits. There should also be a special mention for the in-house cocktails!
Matfen Hall
For stately beauty you can’t beat Matfen Hall. A Northumberland wedding photographer’s dream! The fireplace in the drawing room was originally build for Buckingham Palace, and it fits right in. An elegant frontage, stunning golf course, and top quality food. This five star wedding venue is something else.
The Barn on the Bay
If you’re looking for low key coastal wedding photography in Northumberland then The Barn on the Bay is perfect. Wed beneath a dramatic Northumberland sky with breath taking views across the North Sea. White sands offer the perfect backdrop for portraits, before dancing the night away in rural comfort.
Newton Hall
Newton Hall is an elegant country house, a short distance from the beach. With high end rooms, a modern ceremony space, and extensive grounds to explore with your guests, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to wedding photography locations in Northumberland.
Stylish, Elegant Wedding Photography in Durham
Durham is a beautiful place to get married - I’ve photographed hundreds of the weddings in the region. From the stately Beamish Hall to ancient Lumley Castle and one of my favorite venues: Wynyard Hall. I’ve also shot at the world famous Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral.
So if you’re looking to enjoy your wedding day in this amazing part of the world, with a Durham wedding photographer who will record your day as it really happens, then why not get in touch.

Client Reviews
“We hired Erika for our wedding and she was fantastic from start to finish.
On the day itself Erika was punctual and professional. She mingled and interacted with our guests to put them at ease which resulted in fantastic natural shots to go alongside formal photos.
The photo gallery went live 6 weeks after the wedding on schedule. The choice for wedding album is extensive and the photos Erika took were amazing.
Erika went above and beyond and we would highly recommend her services.”
Simon & Carl, Durham Castle
“Best choice ever! Erika is without doubt one of the best photographers going. We absolutely loved our wedding photos. All my guests commented about how awesome and cool Erika was and how her warm personality allowed her to slip from group to group capturing wonderful images. She was also so kind to me on the day when I got nervous, which really helped going down the aisle. You don’t realise how much your photographer will play a part in your day, and I am so glad we went with Erika.”
Rosie & Matt, Vallum Farm
“From beginning to end the service was faultless and very smooth, we were both extremely happy with the photos taken and the service on the day.
I cant recommend her highly enough, the whole experience was effortless, which was exactly what we needed while the rest of the wedding planning was going on, as well as on the big day itself.
A great sense of humour, very professional and 100% willing to go the extra mile for the right shot. Thanks, Erika, for being part of our day!”
