Wynyard Hall Wedding Photography – Jennifer & David
Wynyard Hall Wedding Photography
Ah, young love, and how better to celebrate it than with a show-stopper wedding? Jennifer and David tied the knot on the second of May at the beautiful Wynyard Hall Country House Hotel.
Bridal preparations were relaxed and fun. Although the flower girl Amelia (daughter of bridesmaid Kate) did take a dislike to the camera (or possibly me, I’m not sure). She cheered up on receiving her wand, after which everything was fine because she could turn me into a frog and the camera was therefore no longer a worry. So if you take nothing else away from Jennifer and David’s wedding, just remember that magic wands fix all ills.
The ceremony was beautiful and I heartily approve of their dancing up the aisle. As first acts as husband and wife go, it’s a good place to start.
Cherry Blossoms & Ice Cream
The day was warm and sunny so we took formal family photographs outside around the Hall before retiring for speeches and the meal. Having such a lovely sunny day it made sense to take a relaxing wander around the grounds for some photos of the bride and groom. The staff at Wynyard drove us up to some of the places less accessible in pretty wedding shoes. One of the reasons for selecting Wynyard Hall on that date were for the cherry blossoms in full bloom. The photos in the cherry orchard are some of my favourite of the day. There are few things more beautiful than sakura. Having already done a pre-wedding shoot with Jennifer and David we had a great relationship already and the photos were a lot of fun.
For that little something extra Lickety Split Ice Cream were there to make the day even more special. After all, who doesn’t like ice cream!? Then there was the cake cutting, followed by the first dance. And to finish the day, wild and crazy partying into the night…
What more could you want from the best day of your life?
